Chapter 1021 - Standing Together as a Pair Under the Moon

Chapter 1021: Standing Together as a Pair Under the Moon

The news went widespread in the army. Everyone was envious of Lu Yan. This General Lu was not only powerful in the battlefield, but was also strong in making babies.

...

Lu Yan kicked open the door, placing An’an down on the couch as he knelt on one knee. Placing his hands on her stomach, he continued asking, “Let me take a good look, are there really two babies growing inside?”

An’an’s eyes crinkled into a smile. “That’s what the doctor said, two babies.”

Lu Yan crouched over, planting a kiss on her stomach. “Now I’m not going to lose face!”

An’an laughed. “It’s all thanks to me!”

After all, she had conceived the two babies.

Lu Yan got up, holding the back of her head as he kissed the widow’s peak on her forehead happily. “My wife is the best!”

An’an felt so touched inside. “Get me a glass of water.”

“Yes, my great wife!”

Lu Yan quickly ran over to get a glass of water. An’an took the cup from him and he sat down beside her, touching her stomach and he couldn’t take his hands off. How did she even conceive two babies?

He hadn’t expected such a day to arrive.

He was content with just one child, but now he was going to have two in one go. It felt so good, he hugged An’an in his arms as he slumped against the couch and relaxed.

He felt as though he was in a dream.

An’an pushed him while still in his arms, asking worriedly, “Husband, aren’t you going for training?”

Lu Yan shut his eyes. “I’m not going, my time is all reserved for my wife and two babies today!”

It was Lu Yan’s first time ever skipping work, just to celebrate news of An’an being pregnant with twins.

It was wonderful.

...

Time passed swiftly and now, An’an had been pregnant for four months and winter was almost over. Another soldier had gotten married. An Xi dragged An’an along to attend the wedding dinner.

Everyone was having fun interrupting the couple in the bridal room. An’an didn’t dare to get close, she just stood by the door and watched them from there.

Someone took a date and had the groom and bride eat it, but they hadn’t managed to eat it, their lips touched each other.

The entire crowd laughed out loud.

An Xi pulled An’an’s sleeve and asked, “An’an, look how fun it is to hold a wedding. Are you really not going to hold a wedding with Brother Yan Zi?”

Lu Yan and An’an hadn’t held a wedding, they only registered their marriage.

An’an placed a raisin in her mouth, shaking her head. “I’m not holding one.”

An imposing figure walked over, Lu Yan had come.

He had spotted An’an, who stood by the door at first glance. It was cold at night and she had an overcoat on, the big coat covering up her body and she wore a red scarf around her neck. The bright lights shone on her beautiful face.

As she stood there, she held a bag of dried fruits in her hand, happily munching away at it. She was simply adorable, foolish in a cute way. She just made one want to bring her home and dote on her well.

Lu Yan furrowed his brows, walking forward to grasp her hand and he pulled her out.

“General, Madam General.”

Many people greeted Lu Yan on the way and Lu Yan took An’an to a darker corner. “You came out to have fun again?”

An’an realized her mistake. She stretched her arms out to hug him and behave in a spoiled manner. “Husband, you’re back?”

Lu Yan pushed her away. “Be more serious.”

An’an pouted her lips. Hmph!

Lu Yan took the stuff out. It was some candied fruit which An’an loved during her pregnancy, as well as some nuts, a necessity for pregnant ladies.

She had two huge pockets on her coat. In fact, all her clothes had to have two big pockets so that Lu Yan could fill them with snacks he bought for her.

He opened her pockets, placing the candied fruit and walnuts in her pockets. “I bought these for you, eat them slowly.”

An’an hadn’t experienced much morning sickness during her pregnancy, her appetite was great and wanted to eat all the time.

An’an lowered her eyes to see, her pockets were filled again. He would always bring her a lot of snacks whenever he came back from outside.

An’an laughed, forgiving him in an instant.

She took out a walnut, breaking it into half and putting one half in her mouth, the other in his.

Lu Yan hadn’t dodged, he chewed on it. “Let’s go home now.”

“Mm.” An’an nodded her head obediently.

Lu Yan bent over, kissing her on the lips. He meant to just give her a light peck, but he was hooked once he got close to her. He pushed his tongue into her mouth, it tasted so sweet inside.

Someone had come, and An’an pushed him away with her face flushing red.

Lu Yan stood up straight. “I’ll teach you a lesson once we reach home.”

“...”

“Come up, I’ll piggyback you.” He patted his own muscular back.

An’an placed her hands on her bump. “It’s not convenient for you to piggyback me now. You’ll squash our babies.”

Lu Yan raised his brows, pointing at his shoulders. “Come up.”

That would really happen?

The corners of An’an’s lips kicked up, she looked around discreetly as she said, “There are so many people here. Let’s not do this, you’re the General.”

She must not fight with him and make him lose his dignity when they were outside. If anyone were to witness her riding on his shoulders, news of it would spread like wildfire.

“Stop wasting time.” Lu Yan clearly got impatient, moving over to pick her up.

An’an’s heart raced, she couldn’t win the argument and could only ride on his shoulders while they walked home. His every step was steady, not shaky at all. An’an ate a date and put one into his mouth too.

Lu Yan wasn’t a fan of sweet stuff, he furrowed his brows while eating it. “Are you thirsty?”

“Did you bring water?”

“I brought it.” Lu Yan took the flask down from his waist, passing it to her.

The flask belonged to her. It was small and portable, a pink Hello Kitty flask.

Lu Yan would bring her little kitty flask around with him, except when he had training so that he could give her water when she wanted it.

General Chen Jin had even come over to tease her about it the other time. He asked about Lu Yan’s little kitty.

It was widely spread in the army, the strong and solemn Lu Yan had a full set of combat uniform on, but he had a little kitty hung around his waist. It was strangely endearing.

An’an pouted her lips. “Husband, you shouldn’t bring this little kitty flask around anymore. Everyone’s talking about it.”

Lu Yan snorted, “That’s blatant jealousy they have there. No need to bother with them.”

“...”

“Wife, why don’t we hold a wedding?” Lu Yan suddenly asked.

An’an raked her fingers through his hair. “Husband, do you want to hold a wedding?”

“If you want it, then I’ll want it too.”

An’an laughed. This man definitely wouldn’t like it if they were to really hold a wedding.

“I don’t want it.”

“Aren’t you aggrieved?”

Aggrieved?

She had his flesh and bones growing inside of her and was riding on his shoulders. He took care of her as though she was a little pig. All their time spent together was simply enjoyable and precious.

It was filled with his love for her.

An’an crouched over, hugging his neck as she whispered in his ear, “Nothing compares to you.”

The corners of Lu Yan’s lips kicked up into a gentle smile.

Nothing compares to you.

The pair stood under the moon together, having found their happy ending.

[End of Yan and An].
